Potato, the root vegetable rich in starch and
fiber is the cheapest and most used stable food. Its constituents Vitamin B6,
potassium, copper, Vitamin C, manganese and Vitamin B3 helps to maintain good
health.
Fortunately
potatoes are available throughout the year around world. This unique tuber has
variety of phytonutrients with anti-oxidant properties. It is generally known
as Aaloo, Batata in India. Its botanical name is Solanum Tuberosum.
Potato
has lots of surprising health benefits some of them are mentioned below: -

Cellular-level enhancement - Potatoes have high concentration of B6. Vitamin B6
plays significant role in proteins chemical reactions to form new cells in the
human body. It too, enhances brain cells and nervous cells activities.

blood pressure and flavonoids protect heart.

Weight gain - As potato is full of carbohydrate, vitamin c and vitamin
b-complex. It helps to gain weight.

magnesium etc plays vital role in skin care.
